We hope you have all had a wonderful Easter break and that your children are ready to start the new term.
This term is only 5 weeks so we will be very busy learners during this time!
As part of ‘Understanding the World’ learning objective, we are going to be exploring Africa, focusing on Kenya and comparing life there to the UK, such as weather and animals. We will spend the final week of the term preparing for the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee and finding out about her life and The Royal Family.
In PE, we will be improving our ball skills and therefore our sessions will be held in the playground so please remember to bring in the full PE kit this term: t-shirt/jumper, shorts/jogging bottoms/leggings and daps.
As the weather is improving, please remember to put sun cream on your child/children, as well as, bring in a sun hat (labelled) as we have very few areas of shade, during play times and lunch times.
Finally, please find attached the Topic map (a paper copy will be in their book bag) which outlines all the learning we will be covering in more detail this term.
