As you aware, the school is currently struggling to secure our damaged roof and prevent further water damage to the classrooms. With the imminent arrival of storm Eunice and subsequent Met Office Red Warning for high winds and heavy rain, we have taken the difficult decision to close the entire school for tomorrow (Friday 18th Feb).
The safety of our children is always paramount and we anticipate that the weather overnight will cause issues and disruption. We do not want to close the school at the last minute tomorrow morning and leave parents struggling to organise emergency childcare.
We apologise for the inconvenience that this will undoubtedly cause and thank you for your support this week as we have battled to keep the school open. Online learning will, of course, be available for children tomorrow via Tapestry.
We hope that you have a restful half term.
