Welcome back into Class 4

Dear Parents and Carers,

Welcome back into Class 4. I hope that you all enjoyed your break. I’d like to take this opportunity to thank you for the gifts and cards received by class 4 staff- they were greatly appreciated.

I am pleased to inform you that we have a new member of Class 4, Mrs Napier Ford, who will be working with the children in our class on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday mornings.

The topic for this term is ‘The River Severn’. We will be focusing on the book, ‘Why The Whales Came’ by Michael Morpurgo, during our English lessons. The children have already shown a great interest in learning more about our nearest river! Any information you have at home on the topic would be great.

Homework tasks will be set in the next few week; the children seem to have enjoyed the freedom of the Viking homework last term (which were fantastic), so I hope they will show as much enthusiasm this term.

PE will continue to be taught on a Wednesday, but once again please could all children have their PE kits in school every day with long hair tied back and earrings taken out.

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to speak to me at the end of the school day.

Kind regards,

Miss Glover and the Class 4 team.

Today, we spent the day celebrating India.
