E-Safety News

E-Safety is an issue that everyone needs to be aware of. IMG_3323Technology is advancing really quickly and so it is more than ever to be aware of potential risks when your child is online. With new apps and games being produced, the popularity of social media and the changes in the way we all use computing, it is important to keep up to date with e-safety initiatives.

Ask yourself these questions:

Does your child use the internet regularly? If your answer is yes – what are they using it for?

Does your child play computer games which also allow them to interact with the general public online?

Do you have safety filters on your home internet?

Does your child regularly use social media such as Instagram, You Tube, Facebook or Snapchat? Do you monitor their use and their privacy settings?

We would like to encourage all our parents and carers to take a look at the following websites which include some great advice on the questions above and many more internet safety issues.

Together we can help each other be safe online!
